bodywork for lasting relief

I have been a full-time bodyworker since 1986, with an extensive background and thorough training in Cranio-Sacral Therapy from Dr. Peter Armitage and the Upledger Institute, where I was a teaching assistant. In 1987 I became a Certified Structural Therapist. I was also certified in Zen Bodytherapy and Zen Triggerpoint Therapy by the International Zen Therapy Institute. I was trained in Orthopedic Massage at the Heartwood Institute. As a founding member of the New School of Massage, Bodywork and Healing I helped create the core curriculum. I have also authored several magazine articles, been quoted in the Chicago Tribune and was featured on WMAQ-TV news with Joan Esposito.

When I was in my mid-thirties I had a successful career in business. Then during a seven-day yoga intensive I met a psychologist who offered intuitive readings. She told me that I had incredible energy emanating from my hands and that I should be working on people. This was further confirmed by the positive feedback I received throughout my professional training and subsequent bodywork career. Only recently did I discover that my great grandfather, a Mennonite physician, was a hands-on healer.

Because I have spent part of my adult life in the business world, I bring a mature understanding to healing. I know what it's like to work in the corporate world and raise a family. I explain the healing process in everyday language that is easy to understand. I also minimize the time and expense involved.
